Fatehpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 125 development projects worth more than ₹489 crore in Fatehpur district.
Addressing a public gathering at Madaripur Kala ground, the Chief Minister said that Fatehpur has witnessed a major transformation in the last nine years and is now becoming an important contributor to Uttar Pradesh’s development journey and the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
During the event, CM Yogi also distributed approval letters, symbolic cheques, keys, Ayushman cards and toolkits to beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes.
Fatehpur Has Moved Beyond Its Aspirational District Identity: CM Yogi
CM Yogi Adityanath said that before 2017, Fatehpur was counted among the backward and aspirational districts due to gaps in infrastructure, healthcare, education and employment opportunities.
He said that under the double-engine government, the district has witnessed major improvements in:
- Roads and connectivity.
- Electricity supply.
- Healthcare infrastructure.
- Education facilities.
- Investment and employment opportunities.
- Basic public services.
The Chief Minister said that development benefits are now reaching villages and people across the district without discrimination.
₹489 Crore Projects to Strengthen Infrastructure in Fatehpur
The newly launched development package includes 125 projects aimed at improving various sectors of the district.
The projects will focus on strengthening:
- Road infrastructure.
- Bridges and connectivity.
- Healthcare facilities.
- Educational institutions.
- Public welfare infrastructure.
- Other basic amenities.
CM Yogi said these projects will provide better facilities to citizens and accelerate the economic growth of Fatehpur.
Medical College, Hospitals and Education Projects Highlighted
The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s efforts in expanding education and healthcare infrastructure across Uttar Pradesh.
He said that several important initiatives, including:
- Medical colleges.
- Hospitals.
- Composite schools.
- Infrastructure development projects.
have been taken up to improve public services.
CM Yogi said that development in Uttar Pradesh is no longer limited to selected regions and every district is being connected with better opportunities.
Strict Action Against Paper Leak and Cheating Mafias
During his address, CM Yogi Adityanath issued a strong warning against people involved in examination fraud and paper leaks.
He said that the government will not allow anyone to damage the future of students.
The Chief Minister stated that:
- Strict action will be taken against paper leak offenders.
- Illegal properties of criminals will be seized.
- Examination-related irregularities will not be tolerated.
He said that the government is committed to ensuring transparent and fair recruitment processes for youth.
New Laws and Punishment Provisions Against Exam Irregularities
CM Yogi said steps are being taken to strengthen laws against paper leaks and examination fraud.
He mentioned that proposed provisions may include:
- Punishment of up to 10 years imprisonment.
- Fines of up to ₹10 crore for offenders.
Referring to the NEET examination controversy, he said that the Central Government acted immediately by initiating investigations, registering cases and taking action against those responsible.
He added that examination and result processes should be completed on time so that students do not lose valuable academic years.
Government Working on Transparent Recruitment: CM Yogi
The Chief Minister said that the recruitment system in Uttar Pradesh has become more transparent and youth are now receiving appointment letters through fair procedures.
He accused previous governments of allowing irregularities in recruitment and said that the present government has prioritised:
- Merit-based selections.
- Transparency.
- Employment opportunities for youth.
CM Yogi reiterated that those trying to exploit students and job aspirants will face strict consequences.
CM Yogi Targets Opposition Over Development and Governance
During his speech, CM Yogi criticised the previous governments, alleging that development was earlier limited to certain areas.
He accused opposition parties of ignoring farmers, youth and common citizens and said that the present government follows the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”.
The Chief Minister said that public money is now being utilised for development projects, infrastructure and welfare schemes.
