Raipur/Bengaluru: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited Sathya Sai Grama near Muddenahalli in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur district on July 24 to review the service initiatives and welfare activities carried out by the organisation.
During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences (Super Speciality Hospital) and reviewed the free healthcare services, advanced medical facilities and patient care programmes provided by the institution.
Hospital officials briefed CM Sai about the hospital’s operations, medical services and various social welfare initiatives. He also visited different departments and interacted with doctors, medical staff and students.
Senior members of the Sathya Sai organisation, hospital officials and local dignitaries accompanied the Chief Minister during the visit.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai Calls for Similar Healthcare Institutions in Chhattisgarh
After reviewing the facilities, CM Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his desire to establish similar service-oriented healthcare institutions in Chhattisgarh.
He said that the state needs more such facilities to support people with quality healthcare services and contribute to overall development.
The Chief Minister said:
- The infrastructure and services at Sathya Sai Grama were impressive.
- Such institutions can play an important role in improving healthcare accessibility.
- Chhattisgarh requires more advanced medical facilities for public welfare.
He highlighted that the state has faced decades of challenges due to Naxalism and now needs accelerated development in various sectors.
Healthcare and Development Remain Key Priorities for Chhattisgarh
CM Sai said that after overcoming the long-standing challenge of Naxalism, Chhattisgarh is now focusing on expanding development opportunities.
He emphasised the importance of institutions that combine healthcare, education and social service to support communities.
The Chief Minister said that healthcare infrastructure will be an important part of the state’s future development strategy.
Chhattisgarh Emerges as Fast-Growing Investment Destination
Separately, Chhattisgarh has recently gained recognition as one of India’s fastest-growing investment destinations.
According to the CRISIL-NITI Aayog Investment Friendliness Index (IFI) 2026, the state secured the top position in two major investor-related categories:
- Regulatory Ease
- Institutional Environment
Chhattisgarh achieved an overall score of 47.5, outperforming several established industrial states, including Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Rajasthan.
State Tops Investor Parameters After Policy Reforms
The recognition reflects a series of administrative and policy reforms implemented by the state government over the last 18 months.
Due to these reforms:
- Industrial approvals have become faster.
- Regulatory clearance processes have improved.
- Business-related procedures have become more efficient.
Chhattisgarh scored:
- 8.4 out of 12 in Regulatory Ease
- 4.5 out of 6 in Institutional Environment
These were the highest scores among participating states in the respective categories.
Chhattisgarh Introduces Risk-Based Regulatory Framework
To further strengthen its business environment, Chhattisgarh enacted the Chhattisgarh Ease of Doing Business Act, 2026.
With this legislation, the state became the first in India to introduce a risk-based regulatory framework aimed at simplifying compliance procedures while maintaining effective oversight.
The government said the reforms are designed to attract investments, promote industrial growth and create more employment opportunities.
Chhattisgarh Focuses on Balanced Growth Through Healthcare and Investment
CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s visit to Sathya Sai Grama and the state’s improved investment ranking highlight Chhattisgarh’s focus on strengthening both social infrastructure and economic development.
With greater emphasis on healthcare facilities, policy reforms, industrial growth and improved governance, the state aims to build a stronger foundation for long-term development.
