New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday carried out another major administrative reshuffle, transferring 19 officers of the Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) and 10 officers of the Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Islands Police Service (DANIPS) across various Union Territories with immediate effect.
The latest transfer orders come alongside the MHA’s earlier reshuffle involving 21 IAS officers and 40 IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre, marking one of the largest administrative exercises in recent months aimed at strengthening governance across Union Territories.
The transfers involve postings in Delhi, Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (DNH&DD).
19 DANICS Officers Transferred
The MHA has transferred officers across different batches, with several officers moving from island territories to Delhi, while others have been posted from Delhi to Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and DNH&DD.

The MHA has also ordered the transfer of 10 DANIPS officers, with postings spread across Delhi, Lakshadweep, Chandigarh and DNH&DD.

Part of Larger AGMUT Administrative Reshuffle
The DANICS and DANIPS transfers form part of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ wider restructuring of the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories) cadre, under which 21 IAS officers and 40 IPS officerswere also transferred across Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Goa, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and DNH&DD.
The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening administrative capacity and ensuring efficient deployment of officers across the Union Territories and AGMUT cadre.
