New Delhi: India defence manufacturing power was strongly highlighted by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during the North Tech Symposium 2026. Speaking at the event in Prayagraj, he emphasized that India’s military strength is now deeply rooted in its domestic defence industries. 

According to the official release, he credited indigenous weapons, MSMEs, and start-ups for shaping a self-reliant defence ecosystem. The success of Operation Sindoor further demonstrated the effectiveness of Made-in-India defence technologies and India’s growing strategic capabilities.

Rajnath Singh stated that India’s military strength is now built within the country itself. He explained that the power of the armed forces comes from domestic defence industries that are producing advanced systems and weapons.

He also linked their contribution to the long-term vision of building a developed India by 2047.
