US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti emphasized the significance of the exercise through a statement on social media platform X. He said that over the next two weeks, soldiers from India and the United States will train together, share skills, build readiness, and improve military collaboration.

The US Embassy also highlighted that Yudh Abhyas 2026 reflects the growing defence partnership between the two countries and demonstrates their shared commitment to regional security and stability.

Where Is Yudh Abhyas 2026 Being Conducted

The exercise is being conducted simultaneously at two important military training locations in India. One component of the exercise is taking place at the Auli Foreign Training Node in Uttarakhand.

Another segment is being conducted at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan, one of India’s premier military training facilities.

The opening ceremony was attended by senior military officers from both countries. Indian representatives included Lieutenant General Amer Singh Gunjan, General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division, and other senior commanders.

The US contingent was represented by Colonel Benjamin Jackman and officers from the 1st Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Each country has deployed approximately 600 military personnel for the exercise, highlighting its scale and strategic importance.
