New Delhi: Dileep Sanghani has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of IFFCO-MC Crop Science Pvt. Ltd., marking a significant leadership development for one of India’s leading crop protection companies.
The decision was taken at the company’s 47th Board Meeting held on May 1, 2026, and was formally approved at IFFCO Sadan in the presence of board members and senior leadership.
The appointment comes at a time when Indian agriculture is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by technology, sustainability and the growing need to improve farm productivity and farmer incomes.
Veteran Cooperative Leader to Head IFFCO-MC
Dileep Sanghani currently serves as Chairman of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited, the world’s largest fertilizer cooperative.
A highly respected figure in India’s cooperative sector, Sanghani has played a pivotal role in strengthening the cooperative movement for more than three decades.
He also holds key positions in several major cooperative organizations, including:
- National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd.
- National Cooperative Union of India
- Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd.
Distinguished Political and Administrative Career
Dileep Sanghani represented the Amreli parliamentary constituency four times in the Lok Sabha between 1991 and 2004.
He has also served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Gujarat and headed important state ministries, including:
- Agriculture
- Cooperation
- Animal Husbandry
Throughout his public life, he has been associated with farmer-centric policymaking and cooperative development.
