EIL and DGMA Join Hands to Modernise India’s Maritime Infrastructure Through Technology and Expertise

New Delhi: Engineers India Limited (EIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA) to provide engineering consultancy, technical advisory and project management support for strengthening India’s maritime infrastructure.

The agreement was signed on 24 July 2026 in New Delhi. DGMA, formerly known as the Directorate General of Shipping, functions under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, while EIL operates under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

The partnership aims to support the planning, development, modernisation and implementation of various maritime sector projects through advanced engineering solutions and specialised technical expertise.

EIL to Provide Engineering and Project Management Support for Maritime Projects

Under the MoU, Engineers India Limited will extend its technical capabilities to DGMA for improving maritime infrastructure development.

The scope of collaboration includes:

  • Feasibility studies for maritime projects.
  • Infrastructure planning and development support.
  • Project management consultancy services.
  • Technology integration solutions.
  • Capacity enhancement initiatives.
  • Specialised technical services identified jointly by both organisations.

The partnership will allow DGMA to utilise EIL’s expertise in engineering, digital solutions, sustainability and infrastructure development.
