CM Highlights Gujarat’s Industrial Growth and Development Roadmap
Addressing the gathering, Patel spoke about Gujarat’s industrial expansion and infrastructure development, referring to the state’s economic progress over the years.
He said the number of small-scale industries in Gujarat had increased from 1.68 lakh in 2003, when Narendra Modi launched the Vibrant Gujarat initiative as Chief Minister, to 29 lakh.
Patel also referred to India’s poverty-reduction efforts, citing the World Bank’s October 2026 report, which, according to him, stated that 49.6 crore people had moved out of poverty.
He attributed the country’s progress to welfare initiatives undertaken under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
The Chief Minister also said Gujarat was the first state to prepare a roadmap aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, with development initiatives being implemented under its Viksit Gujarat 2047 framework.
CM Appeals for Public Participation in Development
Referring to the flood-like situation experienced in Valsad during the monsoon, Patel praised residents for their response to the crisis.
He said, “Their response was an example for the rest of the state.”
The Chief Minister also urged citizens to contribute to development through responsible use of resources and greater public participation. His appeal included:
- Conserving water and electricity.
- Maintaining cleanliness in public spaces.
- Fulfilling social responsibilities.
- Supporting the broader vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas”.
Deputy CM Appeals for Support to Local Artisans
Sanghavi appealed to residents to purchase earthen lamps and decorative items directly from local artisans and women engaged in their production during the Diwali season.
He also appreciated the district administration’s cleanliness campaign and the police’s action against drugs and cybercrime, stating that the government would continue taking legal action against anti-social elements in industrial areas.
The programme was attended by Finance and Urban Development Minister Kanubhai Desai and other public representatives and officials.
