Neemdih: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren visited Chandil Dam on Tuesday evening to review its development prospects and tourism potential. During the visit, he directed officials to take concrete steps to develop the dam as a major tourist destination, improve water management and accelerate pending development projects.
The Chief Minister instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan district to prepare a comprehensive action plan for the overall development of Chandil Dam. He emphasised the need for planned development to utilise the area’s existing resources and tourism opportunities effectively.
The visit is being viewed as an important initiative towards improving the infrastructure and tourism prospects of Chandil Dam and the surrounding region.
Hemant Soren Focuses on Developing Chandil Dam as a Tourism Hub
During the inspection, Chief Minister Hemant Soren reviewed the present condition of Chandil Dam and discussed the possibilities of developing it into a prominent tourism destination.
He stressed the importance of planned tourism development and directed officials to work towards improving the area’s identity on the state’s tourism map.

The possibilities of electricity generation and its expansion were also discussed during the Chief Minister’s visit.
Hemant Soren directed officials to prepare a practical action plan to explore power generation opportunities and make better use of the available resources.
