New Delhi: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has announced a key leadership transition with the appointment of Srividya Venkataraman as its new Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective July 7, 2026.
The appointment was approved by the HPCL Board of Directors during its meeting held on July 7, 2026. Srividya Venkataraman, who was serving as Director – Finance of HPCL, has taken over the CFO role from Shri K. Vinod, Executive Director – Corporate Finance and Additional Charge of Treasury.
Srividya Venkataraman Brings Over 30 Years of Energy Sector Experience
Srividya Venkataraman is a highly experienced finance professional with more than three decades of expertise in India’s energy sector.
She is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Cost & Works Accountant (CWA) with extensive experience in areas including:
- Treasury management
- Risk management
- Taxation
- Investor relations
- Capital markets
- Funding strategies
- Business finance
- Corporate governance
Throughout her career, she has handled several critical financial responsibilities across the petroleum industry.

Previous Leadership Role at BPCL
Before joining HPCL, Venkataraman served as Executive Director – Corporate Treasury at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
During her tenure at BPCL, she managed several important financial functions, including:
- Corporate treasury operations
- Insurance and pension fund investments
- Investor relations
- Capital structure and funding strategy
- Pricing and taxation matters
She played a significant role in mobilizing more than ₹30,000 crore in project financing to support major strategic initiatives of the company.
Contribution to Business Growth and Government Initiatives
During her association with BPCL, Srividya Venkataraman also held important leadership positions in the Retail and LPG businesses.
As Finance Head of the Retail Business, she contributed towards:
- Business expansion
- Network growth
- Digital transformation initiatives
- Cost optimization
- Strengthening governance systems
She also supported the implementation of major government initiatives, including the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme and the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) during her role in the LPG business.
HPCL Updates Key Managerial Personnel Details
Following her appointment as CFO, HPCL has updated its list of Key Managerial Personnel authorized to determine the materiality of events and make necessary disclosures to stock exchanges.
The company informed the stock exchanges about the appointment in compliance with Regulation 30 read with Schedule III Part A of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
HPCL also confirmed that Srividya Venkataraman is not related to any of the company’s directors.
