Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has announced a fresh set of appointments and additional charge allocations for several IAS officers, making important changes in the Health, Revenue, Land Records, and Finance departments.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), officers have been assigned new responsibilities and additional portfolios to strengthen administrative functioning across key departments.
Ratankanvar Gadhavi Charan Given Additional Charge of Nutrition Mission
Ratankanvar H. Gadhavi Charan, currently serving as Commissioner of Health (Rural), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Commissioner of the Nutrition Mission until further orders.
The post of Commissioner, Nutrition Mission is equivalent to an IAS cadre post at the Secretary level, highlighting the significance of the assignment in the state’s nutrition and public health initiatives.

B.A. Shah Appointed Commissioner of Land Reforms
B. A. Shah, who was serving as Settlement Commissioner and Director of Land Records, has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner of Land Reforms and Ex-Officio Secretary.
The appointment places him in charge of important land reform and revenue administration responsibilities in the state.
Ardra Agarwal Assigned Additional Charge of Settlement Commissioner
Ardra Agarwal, Secretary in the General Administration Department, has been given the additional charge of Settlement Commissioner following B.A. Shah’s transfer.
She will continue to oversee her existing responsibilities while handling the additional assignment.
Arvind V Appointed Joint Secretary in Finance Department
Arvind V. has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Finance Department (Budget).
In addition, he has been assigned the extra responsibility of Additional Commissioner of State Tax in Ahmedabad.
As part of this arrangement, Dr. Prashant Jilova has been relieved of the additional charge of Additional Commissioner of State Tax.
Tusharkumar Bhatt Posted to Grievance Redressal Authority
In another administrative change, Tusharkumar Bhatt has been placed as Commissioner of the Grievance Redressal Authority (GRA) under the Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpasar Department.
