New Delhi: IFFCO held its 55th Annual General Meeting (AGM) with a strong emphasis on financial performance, women empowerment, and cooperative-led rural development. The organisation reaffirmed its guiding vision of “Sahakar Se Samriddhi” and highlighted its growing role in strengthening India’s rural economy.
Record Financial Performance Strengthens Cooperative Growth
At the AGM, IFFCO reported a record profit of ₹4,585 crore, marking one of its strongest financial performances in recent years.
According to Managing Director K. J. Patel, the cooperative also announced several major financial decisions aimed at benefiting employees, including:
- Employee incentive payout of ₹490.65 crore
- Introduction of a minimum wage of ₹20,000 for lower-level employees
- Additional ₹140 crore budget allocation for wage enhancement
IFFCO leadership emphasized that farmers, cooperatives, and employees remain central to the organisation’s continued success and financial stability.

Women Empowerment Becomes a Key Highlight of the AGM
A major highlight of this year’s AGM was IFFCO’s focus on women empowerment in agriculture and cooperatives, aligning with the United Nations’ declaration of 2025–26 as the International Year of the Woman Farmer.
Chairman Dileep Sanghani stated that increasing women’s participation in agriculture and leadership roles remains a priority for the organisation.
In a historic move, IFFCO conferred its prestigious awards to women leaders for the first time.
First-Ever Women Awardees Recognised
- Smt. Shakeela Akhtar received the IFFCO Sahakarita Ratna Award 2024–25 along with an honorarium of ₹11 lakh for her contribution to strengthening women’s agriculture and cooperative initiatives in Jammu & Kashmir.
- Smt. Bhavna Gondaliya was awarded the IFFCO Sahakarita Bandhu Award 2024–25 with ₹11 lakh for her impactful work in empowering women in agriculture and cooperative development.
Massive Participation Reflects Strength of Cooperative Movement
The AGM witnessed participation from over 850 cooperative leaders, member societies, and farmer representatives from across India.
This large-scale participation highlighted the expanding reach and influence of India’s cooperative movement, with IFFCO reaffirming its alignment with national development goals and the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
Focus on Sustainable Agriculture and Agri-Tech Innovation
IFFCO reiterated its long-term commitment to sustainable and technology-driven agriculture, with a strong focus on innovation.
Key focus areas include:
- Expansion of nano-fertilizer adoption
- Support for small and marginal farmers
- Development of AI, drone technology, and data-driven farming solutions
- Promotion of nanotechnology in agriculture
The cooperative stated that these initiatives are aimed at improving productivity while ensuring environmental sustainability in Indian agriculture.
Expansion into Cooperative-Led Ventures
An exhibition at the AGM showcased IFFCO’s expanding business and cooperative ecosystem, including:
- Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL)
- National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL)
- IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance
- IFFCO Bazar and Kisan Rural Finance
- Bharat Taxi equity participation
These initiatives reflect IFFCO’s growing diversification into insurance, retail, exports, and rural finance under the cooperative framework.
