New Delhi: The Indian Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab National Bank (PNB) to provide customised credit card solutions and special privileges to Army personnel.
The partnership introduces dedicated credit card products for Army officers and Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and Other Ranks (OR), offering benefits tailored to their financial needs and service profile.
Indian Army and PNB Sign MoU
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Indian Army by Maj Gen VK Purohit, AVSM, YSM, SM, while Deepak Kumar, General Manager, Public Relations & Credit Card Division, PNB, signed the agreement on behalf of the bank.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both the Indian Army and PNB.

PNB Introduces Dedicated Credit Cards for Army Personnel
Under the partnership, PNB will offer two specialised credit card products designed for different categories of Indian Army personnel:
- PNB Luxura Metal Credit Card – Designed for Army Officers
- PNB Parakram Credit Card – Designed for JCOs and Other Ranks (JCO/OR)
The cards offer customised benefits and privileges aimed at providing greater convenience and value to Army personnel.
Credit Cards Offer CSD Cashback and Lounge Access
The special credit card offerings come with several benefits, including 3% CSD cashback and lounge access, along with other rewards and privileges.
The customised solutions are intended to recognise the service of Army personnel while addressing their evolving financial requirements.
The partnership also strengthens the relationship between the Indian Army and PNB in providing dedicated banking solutions to defence personnel.
PNB Parakram Credit Card Uses Biodegradable Design
As part of its environmental focus, the PNB Parakram Credit Card has been specially designed as a biodegradable credit card.
The initiative combines financial services with an environmentally conscious approach, providing a specialised product for JCO and OR personnel while incorporating a biodegradable design.
PNB Reaffirms Commitment to Defence Personnel
Through the partnership, PNB has reiterated its commitment to providing customised financial solutions for those serving the nation.
The MoU is aimed at offering Army personnel banking products that recognise their service and provide benefits tailored to their professional and financial needs.
