New Delhi: Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has handed over the first profit share for FY 2025–26 generated by the CSL–AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU) to the Andaman & Nicobar Administration. The development marks a significant milestone as the ship repair unit completes five years of successful operations in the islands.
The profit share handover highlights the financial viability and operational performance of CANSRU while reflecting the growing institutional collaboration between Cochin Shipyard and the Andaman & Nicobar Administration.
First Profit Share Handed Over to A&N Administration
The cheque representing CANSRU’s profit share for FY 2025–26 was formally presented by Mr. Jose V. J., CMD, Cochin Shipyard Limited, to Mr. Gyanesh Bharti, IAS, Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration.
The cheque was presented at the Chief Secretary’s office in the presence of senior officials from the Andaman & Nicobar Administration and the Directorate of Shipping Services (DSS).

CANSRU Completes Five Years of Operations
The profit share comes as the CSL–AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU) completes five years of operations in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The unit has been established to strengthen ship repair capabilities in the islands and support the development of a more efficient and competitive maritime ecosystem in the region.
Its continued operations have contributed to strengthening local ship repair infrastructure while supporting the maritime requirements of vessels operating in and around the islands.
