The Government of Punjab has issued an official order appointing Mr. G. Nageswara Rao, a 1995-batch Punjab cadre IPS officer, as the Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab. He will replace Mr. Varinder Kumar, a 1993-batch Punjab cadre IPS officer, who previously held the position.

As per the directive, Mr. Varinder Kumar has been relieved from the charge of Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, and is instructed to report to the Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh. The order has been issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
