New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has approved the deputation of Ravi Chaudhary, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE), to IRCON International Limited as General Manager (Signalling and Telecommunications) in Guwahati for a period of three years.
Deputation Approved for Three-Year Term
According to an order issued by the Railway Board, the deputation will be valid for three years from the date of relief (October 3, 2025, afternoon) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The posting is subject to IRCON’s exemption from the rule of immediate absorption.
Career Background and Experience
Ravi Chaudhary joined the IRSSE in 2010 and was previously serving as Senior Divisional Signal and Telecommunication Engineer at Alipurduar Junction under the Northeast Frontier Railway.
He will continue to draw pay and allowances as per his parent cadre, along with applicable deputation allowance under Government of India rules.
Salary Structure and Administrative Conditions
The Railway Board clarified that:
- Pay will be regulated as per Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) guidelines
- Any special pay from the parent cadre will not be included in deputation calculations
- All service conditions will follow standard government deputation norms
Service Benefits and Oversight
All additional terms including:
- Travel allowance
- Medical benefits
- Leave and retirement rules
- Group insurance coverage
will be managed under the supervision of the Principal Financial Adviser, Northeast Frontier Railway.
The order has been issued with approval of the competent authority and vetted by the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
