Jharkhand Govt Signs MoU with EaseMyTrip to Boost Tourism Through Digital Promotion

The partnership will showcase Jharkhand’s religious, cultural, eco-tourism and adventure destinations through digital campaigns, influencer outreach and EaseMyTrip’s travel platform to attract more domestic tourists.

New Delhi: In a major step towards promoting tourism, the Jharkhand Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with leading online travel-tech company EaseMyTrip to enhance the state’s tourism visibility through digital platforms.

The agreement was signed during the Jharkhand Tourism Stakeholders Summit held in New Delhi in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Tourism, Art, Culture & Sports Minister Sudivya Kumar. The partnership aims to showcase Jharkhand’s religious, cultural, ecological, and adventure tourism destinations to millions of travelers across India.

MoU Signed at Jharkhand Tourism Stakeholders Summit

The MoU was signed by:

  • Mukesh Kumar, Secretary, Department of Tourism, Government of Jharkhand
  • Representatives of EaseMyTrip

The agreement marks a significant collaboration between the state government and one of India’s leading travel technology companies to strengthen tourism promotion through digital outreach.

EaseMyTrip to Promote Jharkhand Tourism Digitally

As part of the partnership, EaseMyTrip will leverage its digital platform, technology, and EasyDarshan service to promote Jharkhand’s tourism destinations nationwide.

The campaign will highlight:

  • Baba Baidyanath Dham
  • Major temples and religious destinations
  • Waterfalls and lakes
  • Forests and eco-tourism spots
  • Adventure tourism
  • Agricultural tourism
  • Tribal heritage and cultural attractions

The initiative aims to increase tourist footfall and establish Jharkhand as a preferred travel destination in India.

Special Digital Campaign Featuring Influencers

EaseMyTrip will launch a dedicated digital marketing campaign featuring solo travelers or social media influencers exploring various destinations across Jharkhand.

The campaign will showcase:

  • Scenic hills and valleys
  • Waterfalls and natural landscapes
  • Coal mining heritage
  • Lakes and forests
  • Adventure activities
  • Tribal culture and traditions

Videos, travel stories, reels, and other digital content will be created to promote the state’s unique attractions among domestic travelers.

Local Festivals and Tourism Circuits to Get Wider Visibility

The collaboration will also focus on promoting Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage through digital campaigns.

Key promotional activities include:

  • Digital banners and advertisements
  • Promotional videos
  • Social media campaigns
  • Coverage of local festivals
  • Promotion of tourism circuits
  • Showcasing cultural traditions and heritage

These efforts are expected to enhance the state’s tourism brand and attract a larger number of visitors.

Government and EaseMyTrip Highlight Tourism Potential

Tourism Secretary Mukesh Kumar said the state government is committed to making Jharkhand one of India’s leading tourism destinations, and the partnership with EaseMyTrip is an important milestone in achieving that vision.

EaseMyTrip CEO and Co-founder Rikant Pitti said domestic tourism is witnessing rapid growth in India, and the company will use its digital reach to promote Jharkhand’s religious, cultural, and natural attractions to millions of travelers across the country.

He added that the initiative aligns with EaseMyTrip’s broader vision of promoting domestic tourism through technology-driven solutions.

Partnership Expected to Boost Domestic Tourism

With increasing interest in experiential and nature-based tourism, the collaboration is expected to position Jharkhand as an emerging destination for spiritual, eco, adventure, and cultural tourism.

The digital-first strategy will help improve the state’s tourism visibility, support local businesses, and generate new opportunities for the hospitality and travel sectors.

The initiative also reflects the growing role of technology in promoting India’s diverse tourism destinations and encouraging sustainable domestic travel.
