Ranchi: The Jharkhand Government has announced ₹3 crore financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for people affected by the devastating floods in Assam. Chief Minister Hemant Soren also wrote to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, expressing solidarity with the flood-hit state and assuring every possible support for relief and rehabilitation.
The announcement comes as Assam continues to face widespread destruction caused by floods, which have claimed lives, displaced thousands of families and damaged homes, roads and public infrastructure.
