Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday inaugurated two major road infrastructure projects in Patna — the first phase of the Karbigahiya-Mithapur flyover and the Mithapur-Sipara elevated road. The projects were opened for public use following the inauguration.
Karbigahiya-Mithapur Flyover Phase I Opened
The first phase of the Karbigahiya-Mithapur project includes a flyover, approach road and service road connecting the Mithapur bus stand with Mithapur Golambar through Karbigahiya Golambar.

The infrastructure was constructed at a cost of around ₹249 crore, according to a UNI report on the inauguration.

Mithapur-Sipara Elevated Road Inaugurated
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Mithapur-Sipara elevated road, another key road link in Patna’s southern corridor.
The opening of the elevated stretch forms part of road infrastructure works connecting Mithapur with areas toward Sipara and the southern parts of the city.
CM Highlights Connectivity Benefits
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said the opening of the Karbigahiya-Mithapur flyover would make commuting to and from the railway station easier for passengers.
“The opening of the Karbigahiya-Mithapur flyover will make commuting to and from the railway station much easier for passengers.”
He said people travelling to and from the Mithapur bus stand and adjoining areas would benefit from improved connectivity. Choudhary also said that travelling from Mithapur towards Punpun via Mahuli would become easier.
The Chief Minister added that the elevated corridor would facilitate smoother movement of traffic and help reduce vehicular congestion on major routes.

The inauguration was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Road Construction Minister Kumar Shailendra, Cooperation Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, MLAs Shyam Rajak and Arun Manjhi, MLCs Nawal Kishore Yadav and Ravindra Prasad Singh, along with other public representatives.
Projects Opened for Public Use
Following the inauguration, the newly completed stretches were opened to traffic. The projects are part of road infrastructure works in Patna aimed at improving connectivity across the city’s southern corridor.
