Mumbai: In a routine administrative reshuffle, the Mumbai Police Commissionerate has issued transfer orders for four Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs). The changes, formalised through a special circular dated May 17, 2026, were carried out under provisions of the Maharashtra Police Act and administrative requirements.
The order has been approved by the Commissioner of Police, Greater Mumbai.
Four Senior IPS Officers Transferred Across Mumbai Zones
The latest transfer list includes key reshuffling across multiple policing zones in Mumbai, impacting Zones 1, 2, 4, 8, and 9. The officers affected include Ragasudha R., Manish Kalwaniya, Nimit Goyal, and Mohit Kumar Garg.
Zone-wise Transfer Details
Manish Kalwaniya shifted to Zone 1
- Manish Kalwaniya has been transferred from DCP, Zone 8
- He will now serve as DCP, Zone 1
Ragasudha R. moved from Zone 4 to Zone 2
- Ragasudha R. has been shifted from DCP, Zone 4
- She will now take charge as DCP, Zone 2
Nimit Goyal appointed DCP Zone 8
- Nimit Goyal, previously serving in the Special Branch, has been posted as DCP, Zone 8
Mohit Kumar Garg moved to Zone 1
- Mohit Kumar Garg has been transferred from DCP, Zone 2
- He will now serve as DCP, Zone 1
Administrative Compliance and Orders
The official circular has directed all transferred officers to:
- Complete handing over formalities
- Ensure smooth transition of responsibilities
- Submit compliance reports to the competent authority
These instructions are part of standard administrative procedure following internal reshuffles within the police department.
