Ujjain: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that Bada Nagar in Ujjain district will now become part of the Indore-Ujjain Metropolitan Area, boosting connectivity and regional development. The CM highlighted the approval of the Nayikhedi-Nagda-Ratlam road project, a ₹150 crore initiative that will enhance transportation and reduce travel distance.

New Road Project to Reduce Distance to Ratlam by 40 KM

The proposed road will pass through Gambhir Dam via Nagda, providing an alternative route to the current 115 km route from Ratlam to Ujjain. The new two-lane road will reduce the distance to approximately 74 km, saving 40 km and easing traffic on existing roads.

CM Yadav emphasized that the road will also facilitate smoother transportation for pilgrims during Simhasth 2028, strengthening Bada Nagar’s connectivity with Ratlam, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.

Dr. Yadav announced financial support for local gaushalas to purchase machinery for cow dung management, ensuring sufficient fodder and reducing waste. He also declared an incentive of ₹1 lakh each for local gyms in Bada Nagar to promote fitness and community health.

Additionally, he referenced the PM Mitra Park in Dhar, highlighting that the textile sector’s mega-industrial park will benefit Bada Nagar residents as well.

CM Highlights Cultural and Spiritual Significance

The Chief Minister invoked the blessings of Baba Mahakal and the Chambal, Shipra, and Gambhir rivers, emphasizing Bada Nagar’s spiritual and cultural importance. He assured residents that the government is committed to the holistic development of Bada Nagar while maintaining connectivity, safety, and infrastructure upgrades.
