Pithampur: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on July 8 performed the Bhoomi Pujan of a new ₹272 crore manufacturing unit of LiuGong India Private Limited in the Pithampur industrial area of Dhar district. The project is expected to accelerate industrial development in the region, generate employment opportunities, and support India’s vision of Make in India and Make for the World.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the ceremonial lamp and highlighted the growing importance of Dhar as an industrial centre in Madhya Pradesh.
Dhar Emerging as Growth Engine of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development
Addressing the gathering, CM Mohan Yadav said that the establishment of a major industrial unit in the Pithampur industrial belt marks a significant milestone for the state.
He stated that Dhar has become a growth engine for industrial development and that the region’s industrial strength has increased under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that a major textile park benefiting more than 6 lakh farmers was inaugurated in Dhar on September 17, further strengthening the industrial ecosystem of the area.

New LiuGong Plant to Support Make in India Mission
CM Mohan Yadav congratulated LiuGong Group for investing in Madhya Pradesh and said the new manufacturing facility will contribute to fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Make in India – Make for the World.”
He added that the plant will open a new chapter of industrial growth in the state and help strengthen manufacturing capabilities.
The new unit is expected to become an important centre for construction equipment production, research, and advanced machinery manufacturing.
Madhya Pradesh Receives Record Investment Proposals
Highlighting the state’s investment growth, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth ₹76,862 crore between January 1 and June 30, which are expected to create employment opportunities for around 82,000 youths.
He further stated that:
- Narmadapuram received investment proposals worth ₹11,500 crore
- Madhya Pradesh attracted more than ₹10,000 crore in foreign investment
- More than ₹10 lakh crore worth of investment projects have already moved towards implementation
The Chief Minister said that increasing investor confidence reflects the changing industrial environment of Madhya Pradesh.

Government Focuses on Converting Announcements into Ground-Level Projects
CM Mohan Yadav said that his government believes in implementing projects on the ground rather than limiting them to announcements.
He highlighted several major industrial projects initiated recently in Madhya Pradesh:
- ₹272 crore LiuGong India manufacturing unit in Pithampur
- ₹150 crore Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Smart Industrial Park in Satgarhi
- ₹2,500 crore Adani Defence Unit in Shivpuri
- ₹1,250 crore PepsiCo manufacturing facility in Ujjain
- 38 new industrial units worth ₹1,554 crore in Neemuch
He said these investments will strengthen industries, increase employment opportunities, and support economic growth across the state.
LiuGong India Plant to Increase Production Capacity
According to CM Mohan Yadav, LiuGong India currently manufactures around 3,250 machines annually, and after the development of the new plant, the company’s production capacity is expected to increase to nearly 7,500 machines.
The expansion will enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities and help Madhya Pradesh emerge as a stronger hub for construction equipment production.

New Plant Will Generate Employment and Boost Manufacturing Sector
LiuGong India Global Vice Chairman Liu Guowen said that the foundation stone ceremony of the new manufacturing plant in Pithampur is a significant milestone for the company.
He stated that the facility will create local employment opportunities and contribute to the growth of both Madhya Pradesh and India’s economy.
The plant will also focus on research, innovation, and advanced machinery production, helping India strengthen its manufacturing ecosystem.
LiuGong India Supports Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative
LiuGong India representative Varun Vijayvargiya said that industrial development in Madhya Pradesh is progressing rapidly under CM Mohan Yadav’s leadership.
He highlighted that LiuGong India started its first production in India in 2009 and has continued to manufacture construction equipment while supporting the goals of Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The company aims to contribute further to India’s infrastructure growth through advanced construction machinery and manufacturing solutions.
