Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Restarts Employee Promotion Process After 10 Years, Lakhs of Staff to Benefit

Bhopal: In a major relief for government employees, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has revived the long-pending promotion process for state government officials and employees after a gap of 10 years. The move is expected to directly benefit lakhs of government employees who had been awaiting promotions for nearly a decade.

The decision was welcomed by employees, who greeted the Chief Minister with drums, traditional music, and bouquets at the state secretariat in Bhopal.

Promotion Process Resumes After a Decade

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has initiated the promotion process for eligible government officials and employees, ending a decade-long wait.

The decision is being seen as one of the most significant employee welfare measures undertaken by the state government, as promotions had remained pending for several years across various departments.

The government believes the move will improve employee morale, enhance administrative efficiency, and provide long-overdue career advancement opportunities.

Employees Welcome CM with Drums and Bouquets

On July 8, as Chief Minister Mohan Yadav arrived at the state secretariat for the Cabinet meeting, government employees gave him a grand welcome.

Employees gathered at the ministry premises, played drums and traditional musical instruments, and presented bouquets to the Chief Minister in appreciation of the government’s decision to restart the promotion process.

Representatives thanked the Chief Minister for addressing one of the longest-pending demands of state employees.

Employees Seek Promotions Across All Departments

During the interaction, employee representatives requested the Chief Minister to ensure that the promotion process is also initiated in departments where it has not yet begun.

Responding to the demand, Dr. Mohan Yadav assured employees that every eligible officer and employee would receive promotion as per the rules and that no deserving employee would be deprived of their rightful career progression.

Lakhs of Government Employees Expected to Benefit

The revival of the promotion process is expected to directly benefit lakhs of government employees across Madhya Pradesh.

Officials believe the decision will not only resolve long-standing service-related issues but also improve motivation and efficiency within the state administration. The government considers the initiative an important step towards strengthening employee welfare and ensuring fair career opportunities.

Employee Welfare Remains Government’s Priority

Representatives of the Employee Welfare Committee, Mantralaya Employees’ Union, and AJAKS were present during the meeting with the Chief Minister.

Dr. Mohan Yadav reiterated his government’s commitment to employee welfare and assured employee organizations that no eligible employee would face injustice in matters related to promotions.

He said the government has been working on employee welfare initiatives since assuming office and will continue taking measures to improve the working environment and career prospects of government personnel.

Government Aims to Strengthen Administrative Efficiency

By restarting the promotion process after a decade, the Madhya Pradesh Government aims to remove administrative bottlenecks, improve employee satisfaction, and ensure timely career progression for deserving officials. The initiative is expected to strengthen governance while reinforcing the government’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and employee welfare across the state.
