SEMICON India 2026: CM Mohan Yadav Highlights Madhya Pradesh’s Semiconductor Investment Potential

CM Mohan Yadav highlights investment opportunities in semiconductors, chip design and electronics, with an investor summit scheduled in Indore on October 23-24.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the state’s investment potential in the semiconductor and electronics sectors during SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi. The Chief Minister visited the Madhya Pradesh Pavilion at Yashobhoomi and held discussions with representatives of major Indian and international semiconductor, chip design and electronics companies.

Dr. Yadav discussed opportunities for investment, technical cooperation and expansion of semiconductor-related activities in Madhya Pradesh. He said the state government is working to create a favourable environment for industries and is committed to providing necessary support and facilities to investors.

CM Mohan Yadav Meets Semiconductor and Electronics Companies

During his visit to the Madhya Pradesh Pavilion, Dr. Yadav interacted with representatives of several companies associated with the semiconductor and electronics industry.

The companies included:

  • Paras Semiconductors
  • Thomson Semiconductors
  • Sprintonics AI
  • NXP India
  • Marvell Semiconductors
  • L&T Semiconductors
  • Swadeshi IC Semiconductors

The discussions focused on investment opportunities, technical cooperation and the potential for expanding semiconductor-related activities in the state.

Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh has significant opportunities in emerging sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing, chip designing and electronics. He added that the state government is committed to providing the required support and facilities to industries.

Global Semiconductor Companies Discuss Investment Opportunities

The Chief Minister also met a delegation of the International Semiconductor Industry Group (ISIG). The delegation included representatives from companies from Japan, South Korea and the United States.

The delegation included:

  • Accretech, Canon and Kaijo from Japan
  • Hanwha and Gensim Inc. from South Korea
  • MacDermid Alpha from the United States

The Japanese delegation also held discussions with representatives of Oxide Corporation, Scale Photonics and Impute Inc.

Dr. Yadav described SEMICON India 2026 as an important platform for dialogue and cooperation with the global semiconductor industry. He said Madhya Pradesh is ready to explore new partnerships based on its industrial capabilities, investment potential and available resources.

MP Engages with Chip Design and Semiconductor Firms

The Chief Minister also interacted with representatives of companies working in chip designing and the semiconductor sector.

  • Signityt
  • Stembo Technology
  • True-Chip Solution
  • Banashree Semiconductors
  • VLSI Expert
  • Newzimo Semiconductors

Dr. Yadav also visited the Mohali Chip Designing Pavilion and the Swedish Pavilion at SEMICON India 2026.

The meetings covered potential investments and technical cooperation in semiconductor manufacturing, chip designing and electronics in Madhya Pradesh.

Indore to Host Investor Summit on October 23-24

Madhya Pradesh is also preparing to engage semiconductor investors through a major investor conference scheduled in Indore on October 23 and 24, 2026.

According to the Chief Minister, investors from the semiconductor industry will be informed about investment opportunities and state policies during the event.

Key objectives of the investor summit include:

  • Highlighting investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh
  • Informing investors about state policies and incentives
  • Promoting the state’s investment potential at national and international levels
  • Encouraging investment in emerging sectors such as semiconductors and electronics

The Madhya Pradesh government has also established a pavilion at SEMICON India 2026, where state officials are engaging with investors and business representatives from different sectors.

State Government Focuses on Semiconductor Investment

Dr. Yadav said the Madhya Pradesh government is pursuing semiconductor investments through its existing policies and is working to create a supportive environment for the industry.

He said the state is seeking to attract both domestic and international investors through its policies. Semiconductor investors were also invited during the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025, with some investors subsequently taking steps in this direction.

The government is continuing discussions with investors and business groups to explore opportunities for setting up and expanding semiconductor-related businesses in the state.

Semiconductor Expansion Could Create Jobs and Skill Development Opportunities

The expansion of the semiconductor industry is expected to create new employment and skill-development opportunities for young people in Madhya Pradesh.

Dr. Yadav said several business groups are interested in expanding their operations through partnerships with foreign companies. Such collaborations could contribute to the development of a broader industrial and business ecosystem in the state.

He also highlighted the availability of land and opportunities for skill development as factors that could support future investments in the semiconductor sector.

Bhopal and Indore Identified as Potential Semiconductor Hubs

The Chief Minister said Madhya Pradesh has the potential to play an important role in the country’s semiconductor sector in the coming years.

According to him, the Bhopal and Indore metropolitan areas offer significant opportunities for semiconductor-related investments. The state has a substantial land bank and scope for developing the skilled workforce required by the industry.

The government is continuing its engagement with investors across sectors as it seeks to expand Madhya Pradesh’s industrial base and attract investments in emerging technology-driven industries.
