MOIL Achieves Record October Manganese Production and Highest-Ever Exploration Drilling in FY26

New Delhi: MOIL Limited, India’s largest manganese ore producer and a leading public sector enterprise, has achieved its best-ever October production since inception, alongside a record performance in exploration activities. The company continues to maintain strong growth momentum in both production and exploration during FY26.

Record October Production

In October 2025, MOIL produced 1.60 lakh tonnes of manganese ore, marking its highest-ever production for any October. This performance represents a 9.1% increase compared to the corresponding period last year (CPLY).

The company’s consistent operational efficiency and optimized mining processes have contributed to this achievement, reinforcing its leadership in the manganese mining sector.

Sustained Growth in FY26 Performance

During the first seven months of FY26 (April–October 2025), MOIL recorded 11.04 lakh tonnes of production, reflecting an 8.5% growth over the same period in the previous year. The company’s ongoing efforts to enhance productivity and efficiency across its mines have supported this upward trend.

Record-Breaking Exploration Milestone

In addition to production growth, MOIL has also achieved a significant milestone in mineral exploration. The company completed its highest-ever exploratory core drilling of 57,275 meters during the April–October 2025 period. This marks a major step toward identifying new resources and strengthening the company’s long-term mineral base.

Management’s Outlook

Commenting on the strong performance, Ajit Kumar Saxena, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), MOIL, said:

“It is encouraging that the upward trend in production during the first seven months has been maintained. The MOIL team is fully geared up to register yet another impressive performance in the current year.”
