Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government on Thursday issued transfer and posting orders for 14 IPS officers, effecting a major reshuffle at senior and field levels of the state police administration. The most significant change in the reshuffle is the appointment of Sanjay Kumar (2004 batch) as the new Police Commissioner of Bhopal.

Sanjay Kumar Takes Charge as Bhopal Police Commissioner

According to the official order, Sanjay Kumar, who was serving as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Balaghat Zone, has been transferred and posted as Police Commissioner, Bhopal. He replaces Harinarayan Chari Mishra (2003 batch), who has now been posted as Inspector General of Police (SCRB) at the Police Headquarters in Bhopal.

The appointment of Sanjay Kumar is seen as a key administrative move, given the importance of Bhopal as the state capital and its law-and-order requirements.
