Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred ₹212.57 crore to the bank accounts of 35.42 lakh beneficiaries of social security pension schemes during a state-level programme held at Punjapura in Dewas district on September 24.
During the programme, Yadav also announced that the Karnawad police assistance centre in Dewas district would be upgraded to a police station. He said government accommodation for police personnel would also be provided, along with funds for construction of a government warehouse.
₹212.57 Crore Transferred to Pension Beneficiaries
The amount was transferred through a single-click mechanism to beneficiaries covered under the state’s social security pension schemes.

Karnawad Police Centre to Become Police Station
Yadav announced the conversion of the police assistance centre at Karnawad into a police station. He also announced arrangements for residential accommodation for police personnel.
The government has additionally approved the construction of a government warehouse and the required funding, according to the state government.
The Chief Minister said recruitment for 18,000 positions in the police department was underway. He also said the state was working on recruitment to a total of 85,000 new posts.
₹6,250 Wheat Procurement Price Including Bonus
Speaking about agriculture, Yadav said wheat was procured from farmers this year at ₹2,625 per quintal, including a ₹40-per-quintal bonus over the minimum support price.
He also said the state’s irrigated agricultural area had reached 65 lakh hectares.
Service Sankalp Bike Journey
The programme also featured a virtual interaction between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and riders participating in the ‘Seva Sankalp Bike Yatra’, organised as part of the Seva Sankalp campaign.
According to the state government, the journey involves 250 motorcycles and 500 service travellers and is travelling between Varanasi and Vadnagar, passing through several states and districts.
At Punjapura, rider Dipesh Goti, a resident of Shajapur district, shared his experiences of the journey with the Prime Minister. He spoke about interacting with young people from other states and learning about their languages and cultures.
The campaign also includes service-related activities and public interactions along the route. The Madhya Pradesh Yuva Morcha has introduced a ‘My Promise to Modi Ji’ initiative under which participants are asked to take up one of 25 specified service activities.
School Education Budget and Transport Service
Yadav said Madhya Pradesh had set the school education budget at ₹38,000 crore and referred to government support for students through laptops, bicycles, scooters, books and scholarships.
He also announced that bus services under the state’s Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Bus Service would begin on September 25. According to his statement, the service will connect urban areas, cities within Madhya Pradesh and destinations in other states, besides extending transport facilities to rural areas.
