Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has announced that the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), being conducted following directions from the Supreme Court, will be held in offline mode. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made the announcement on Teachers’ Day, September 5, during a state-level teacher felicitation ceremony in Bhopal.
The event was held at the RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management, where Governor Mangubhai Patel and CM Yadav jointly inaugurated the programme. Thirty-three outstanding teachers from across the state were honoured during the ceremony.

CM Highlights Role of Teachers
Addressing the gathering, CM Yadav said teachers play a central role in shaping the future of the country. He highlighted India’s traditional guru-shishya system and referred to institutions such as Takshashila and Nalanda as examples of India’s historical contribution to education.
He said the contribution of teachers extends beyond classroom instruction, as their guidance influences students for years. According to the Chief Minister, the government recognises the efforts of teachers and is committed to taking decisions that support them.
Yadav also referred to the performance of students in government schools and said teachers’ efforts contribute significantly to their achievements in board examinations.
Governor Calls for Modernisation of Education
Governor Mangubhai Patel congratulated the teachers honoured at the ceremony and paid tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary, observed as Teachers’ Day.
He said education today cannot remain restricted to textbooks and needs to evolve in line with global requirements and employment opportunities. Teachers, he said, should identify students’ interests and talents and encourage them accordingly.
The Governor also emphasised the role of parents and teachers in developing responsible citizens and urged educators to support children who may be facing difficulties.
Minister Highlights Teachers’ Contribution
School Education and Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh said teachers and parents would play an important role in preparing the younger generation for the country’s future.
He said the state government is working to address legal and other constraints affecting teachers and is recognising educators for their contribution to the education system.
33 Teachers Felicitated
Thirty-three outstanding teachers from across Madhya Pradesh were felicitated during the ceremony, including Shivlal Dangi, Dhannalal Bisen, Ritesh Kumar Pathade, Sukhnandan Sahu, Narendra Kumar Bhardwaj and others.
