New Delhi: State-owned NBCC (India) Limited has announced that it has received work orders totaling approximately ₹62.62 crore, according to a regulatory filing submitted to stock exchanges on Tuesday. The projects involve construction and renovation works for residential and educational facilities, reinforcing NBCC’s role in large-scale infrastructure development in India.
NHPC Awards Residential Construction Project in Jammu
As part of the new orders, NBCC has been awarded a ₹6.39 crore project by NHPC for the construction of residential rooms above Block-II and Block-III at NHPC’s Regional Office in Narwal, Jammu.
The project also includes partial dismantling of the existing ground floor to facilitate the new construction, ensuring modernized and expanded living spaces for NHPC staff.
Odisha Higher Education Department Awards University Renovation Project
In addition, NBCC has secured a ₹56.23 crore project from the Higher Education Department of the Government of Odisha. This project involves construction and renovation works across five state public universities under the GSU component of the PM-USHA scheme, aimed at improving infrastructure and facilities for higher education institutions.
Both projects have been awarded by domestic entities and fall under Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services. The company clarified that neither of the contracts involves any promoter or related party interest, ensuring full compliance with corporate governance norms.
Strengthening NBCC’s Infrastructure Portfolio
With these latest orders, NBCC continues to expand its footprint in the construction and infrastructure sector, particularly in government and public sector projects.
The projects in Jammu and Odisha highlight the company’s expertise in residential construction, renovation, and project management consultancy.
