NBCC Secures ₹227.99 Crore Oil India Contract for Executive Housing Complex in Duliajan, Assam

New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited has secured a significant new contract from Oil India Limited for the development of an executive housing complex in Duliajan, Assam. The total value of the project stands at ₹227.99 crore.

The project will be executed on a turnkey basis, with NBCC responsible for the complete scope of work, including design, planning, and final delivery of the residential complex.

Executive Housing Project at Duliajan

Under the agreement, NBCC will construct a modern housing complex dedicated to Oil India’s executive employees stationed in Duliajan. The upcoming residential facilities are aimed at enhancing living standards and providing improved accommodation infrastructure for the company’s workforce in one of its key operational hubs.

The turnkey nature of the project ensures that NBCC will manage all phases of development, delivering fully completed and ready-to-use housing units upon completion.

Officials Who Signed the Agreement

The contract was formally signed by senior representatives from both organizations:

  •  Malay Kumar Das, Executive Director, Oil India Limited
  • Dr. Choudhury Gyanaranjan Samal, Chief General Manager, NBCC (India) Limited

The signing marks a continuation of collaboration between the two public sector enterprises.

Strategic Importance of the Project

The new housing complex is expected to significantly improve residential facilities for Oil India employees in Assam. Duliajan, being one of the company’s major operational centers, will benefit from upgraded infrastructure designed to support workforce welfare.

The project also reinforces the ongoing partnership between two major Government of India public sector undertakings (PSUs) in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

NBCC, known for its expertise in project management and large-scale construction, continues to expand its portfolio of government-led housing and infrastructure projects across India.
