Nigahi: Northern Coalfields Limited’s (NCL) Nigahi Area organised an Accidental Death Claim Distribution Programme and provided financial support to the family of late employee Shailendra Singh Parihar.
Under the State Bank of India (SBI) Corporate Salary Account Scheme, an accidental death claim of ₹50 lakh was handed over to his wife, Saroj Singh. The initiative provides financial assistance to the bereaved family and reflects NCL’s commitment to ensuring that eligible insurance benefits reach employees’ families in a timely manner.
₹50 Lakh Accidental Death Claim Handed Over to Family
The programme was organised at NCL’s Nigahi Area in collaboration with the State Bank of India.
During the programme, the ₹50 lakh accidental death claim under SBI’s Corporate Salary Account Scheme was formally provided to the family of late Shailendra Singh Parihar.
The claim amount was handed over to his wife, Saroj Singh.
The financial assistance is intended to provide economic support to the family following the loss of the employee.

NCL Officials and SBI Representatives Attend Programme
The programme was attended by Ratanjay Singh, Area General Manager, Nigahi Area, along with members of the Area Joint Consultative Committee (JCC), department heads, other senior officials and employees.
Representatives of the State Bank of India were also present during the claim distribution programme.
The presence of NCL and SBI officials highlighted the coordinated effort to ensure that the eligible insurance benefit was provided to the employee’s family.
NCL Reaffirms Support for Employees’ Families
Addressing the gathering, Area General Manager Ratanjay Singh expressed his condolences to the family of late Shailendra Singh Parihar.
He said that while financial assistance cannot fill the void created by the loss of a loved one, timely support can help reduce the financial difficulties faced by the bereaved family.
He also reaffirmed NCL’s commitment to standing by the families of its employees during difficult times and ensuring that financial assistance and eligible insurance benefits are made available as per applicable rules.

NCL emphasised its commitment to extending eligible financial assistance and insurance benefits to employees’ families in a timely manner.
The accidental death claim under the SBI Corporate Salary Account Scheme is aimed at providing financial security and support to the family following the accidental death of an employee.
The programme also highlighted the importance of coordinated support between NCL and SBI in facilitating the settlement of eligible claims.
