New Delhi: NLC India Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL) has incorporated a new joint venture company with PTC India Limited to develop green energy projects across the country.
The new joint venture company, named NIRL PTC Renewables Limited, has been incorporated with NIRL holding a 74% equity stake and PTC India holding the remaining 26% stake.
The development was disclosed to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
NLC India Renewables and PTC India Form Joint Venture
NLC India Renewables Limited has incorporated NIRL PTC Renewables Limited with PTC India Limited as part of their efforts to expand their presence in the green energy sector.
The Certificate of Incorporation for the new company was issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on September 16, 2026.

NIRL Holds 74% Stake in New Company
Under the equity structure of the joint venture, NLC India Renewables Limited holds a 74% stake, while PTC India Limited holds 26%. PTC India’s 26% holding comprises 26,000 equity shares. The shares have been subscribed in cash at a face value of ₹10 per equity share.
The joint venture has been incorporated pursuant to the terms of the Joint Venture Agreement entered into between NLC India Renewables and PTC India.
JV to Develop Green Energy Projects Across India
The newly incorporated company will operate in the energy sector and focus on setting up green energy projects across India.
The joint venture is expected to provide a platform for the two companies to work together on opportunities in the green energy segment and expand their renewable energy portfolios. Its activities will include developing green energy projects and exploring opportunities in the sector.
NLC India Expands Renewable Energy Focus
The formation of the joint venture is part of NLC India’s broader focus on expanding its presence in renewable and green energy.
Through its wholly owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables Limited, the company is pursuing opportunities in the renewable energy segment. The new JV with PTC India is expected to support the development of additional green energy capacity and contribute to the companies’ renewable energy expansion plans.
PTC India Partners With NLC India Renewables
For PTC India, the joint venture provides an opportunity to participate in the development of green energy projects alongside NLC India Renewables. PTC India stated that the JV has been incorporated in accordance with the terms of the joint venture agreement between the two companies and is subject to other approvals, wherever required, under applicable laws and regulations.
The partnership combines NIRL’s renewable energy focus with PTC India’s presence in the power and energy sector.
