Hyderabad: Priyadarshini Gaddam, Chief General Manager (CGM) at the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), has been appointed as the Director (Personnel) at NMDC. This appointment, which will remain in effect until her superannuation on January 31, 2026, fills the previously vacant position of Director (Personnel) at the Schedule ‘A’ Central PSU.
Gaddam was recommended for the position following a rigorous selection process conducted during the PESB meeting on October 19. Currently, she is serving as the Chief General Manager at the same organization.
With this appointment, Gaddam makes history as the first-ever woman functional Director at NMDC since its inception. She brings a wealth of experience, having worked on various mining projects across NMDC as well as at the headquarters.
Gaddam was selected as the top candidate following interviews conducted on July 14, 2023. Other senior executives from NMDC, as well as external candidates from esteemed organizations like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and the Indian Telecommunication Service, were also interviewed. Noteworthy candidates included B. Sahoo and K. Praveen Kumar, both Executive Directors at NMDC, and D. Deepak, Executive Director (HRD) at HAL.
