New Delhi: In a major boost to India’s skill development landscape, the National Skill Development Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITE Education Services to jointly develop advanced, future-ready training systems aligned with global standards.
The collaboration aims to strengthen India’s skilling ecosystem, improve employability, and enhance institutional capacity across key sectors.
Focus on Global-Standard Skill Development
Under the agreement, NSDC and ITEES will co-develop scalable training programmes in:
- Manufacturing sector
- Services sector
The initiative is designed to align India’s vocational training ecosystem with international benchmarks, ensuring that learners are equipped with globally relevant skills.

Training 10,000 Trainers to Strengthen Capacity
A key highlight of the partnership is the large-scale capacity-building initiative aimed at training up to 10,000 trainers across India.
These trained professionals will help:
- Improve quality of skill delivery
- Standardize training methodologies
- Expand access to industry-relevant education
This is expected to significantly strengthen India’s training infrastructure at the grassroots level.
Development of World Skill Centres and Centres of Excellence
The MoU also envisions the establishment of advanced training institutions across the country, including:
- World Skill Centres
- Centres of Excellence
- Multi-Skill Institutes
These institutions will serve as hubs for high-quality vocational training, supporting India’s goal of building a globally competitive workforce.
Adoption of Global TVET Best Practices
The partnership will promote the adoption of international standards in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), focusing on:
- Modern training infrastructure
- Quality assurance frameworks
- Industry-aligned curriculum design
This will help bridge the gap between industry requirements and workforce skills in India.
Boost to India’s Employability and Skill Ecosystem
The collaboration is expected to significantly enhance:
