Mumbai: NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power producer, made its debut at the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) 2025 in Paris, France, from November 4 to 6, marking a significant milestone in the company’s clean energy journey. The participation underscores NTPC’s commitment to exploring nuclear power as part of its diversified energy portfolio, in line with India’s long-term goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070.

First-Ever Participation at a Global Nuclear Event

Representing NTPC at WNE-2025, Mr. A. P. Samal, Chief General Manager, and Mr. Sumit Dashmana, Deputy Manager, highlighted the company’s strategic roadmap for entering the nuclear power generation sector. NTPC showcased its capabilities and future plans for nuclear energy development, signaling India’s growing expertise in this critical sector.

Engagement with Global Nuclear Leaders

During the exhibition, NTPC’s pavilion at the India Pavilion, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), attracted visits from eminent international leaders, including Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and Dr. Sama Bilbao y León, Director General of the World Nuclear Association (WNA). The dignitaries interacted with NTPC representatives, appreciating the company’s initiatives and vision for promoting nuclear energy development in India.

Commitment to Sustainable Energy and Net Zero Goals

NTPC’s participation at WNE-2025 highlights its proactive approach to sustainable energy solutions. By exploring nuclear power generation, NTPC aims to complement its existing renewable energy and thermal power capacities, ensuring a secure, low-carbon energy future for India. The company’s engagement reflects a broader national objective of transitioning toward a cleaner energy mix while maintaining energy security.
