The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Mr. Kamesh Kasana for the position of Director (Other Units) at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Defence.

The selection was made during PESB Meeting No. 25/2025, held on Tuesday. Mr. Kasana, who currently serves as the General Manager of Military Communication at BEL, was chosen from a pool of 12 senior executives who were interviewed for the coveted post.
Among the candidates were:

- Mr. Kappagantula Srinivas, General Manager and Unit Head
- Mr. Giriraja Nandavaram, GM (DCCS)
- Mr. Tribhuwan Narayana Singh, GM (Components SBU)
- Ms. Niti Pandit, GM (Strategic Planning)
- Mr. Ramkumar B, GM (HR)
- Ms. Manjula Devi N, GM (Missile Systems SBU)
- Dr. Chandana Viswanadham, GM
- Mr. Srinivas Rao Pallinti, GM (International Marketing)
- Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, GM (Central Services)
- Mr. Ambrish Tripathi, GM and Unit Head, Kotdwara Unit
Following a rigorous selection process, Mr. Kasana emerged as the top choice, reflecting his extensive experience and leadership in the organisation.
As Director (Other Units), Mr. Kasana will be responsible for overseeing multiple BEL units, ensuring operational synergy, and contributing to India’s defence electronics sector. The PESB’s recommendation will now be forwarded for approval to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) before the formal appointment is made.
