“Didi Ki Library”: A New Knowledge Hub for Youth

The newly built Didi Ki Library has been designed as a modern study and knowledge centre for students and competitive exam aspirants.

CM Dhami stated that education forms the strongest foundation for societal progress and highlighted that the library will serve as an important resource hub for rural and border-area students who often lack access to quality study materials.

Key features and expected benefits include:

  • Peaceful and well-equipped study environment
  • Access to books and competitive exam resources
  • Support for higher education preparation
  • A space to promote focused learning and academic growth

He added that the library is not just a collection of books but a platform to help transform the aspirations of young people into reality.

Women Empowerment Through Self-Help Groups

A notable feature of the library project is its operation model. CM Dhami emphasized that the facility will be managed by women associated with self-help groups, helping generate income opportunities and promoting women’s empowerment at the local level.

This initiative aligns with the state government’s broader efforts to support economic independence for women through community-based development programs.

Focus on Youth Fitness and Healthy Lifestyle

The renovated gymnasium is expected to:

  • Encourage regular physical exercise
  • Promote fitness and discipline among youth
  • Support a drug-free and healthy lifestyle
  • Strengthen local sports culture

Government’s Broader Development Vision

CM Dhami reiterated that the Uttarakhand government is continuously working across key sectors such as:

  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Sports
  • Employment
  • Infrastructure development

He emphasized that the goal is to ensure balanced development benefits all sections of society.

Special Focus on Khatima’s Development

As his home constituency, Khatima holds special importance in the Chief Minister’s development agenda. He assured continued efforts for the region’s overall progress, focusing on improving opportunities for youth and strengthening public infrastructure.

The inauguration of the Didi Ki Library, gymnasium, and auditorium marks a significant step toward improving educational access, fitness facilities, and community infrastructure in Khatima.
