New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited has received a new work order worth approximately ₹29.84 crore from Southern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APSPDCL). The contract further strengthens RailTel’s position in India’s growing digital infrastructure and enterprise networking segment.
According to the company’s stock exchange filing dated 25 June 2026, the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the project was issued on 24 June 2026.
Scope of Work: SD-WAN Deployment and Network Security Solutions
Under the contract, RailTel will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) infrastructure for APSPDCL. The scope of work includes:
- Supply, installation, testing, configuration, and commissioning of SD-WAN solutions
- Deployment of networking hardware and supporting infrastructure
- Provisioning of bandwidth licences
- Installation of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Deployment of Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
The project aims to enhance network performance, improve connectivity efficiency, and strengthen cybersecurity across the power distribution company’s operations.
Project Timeline and Completion Deadline
The SD-WAN and cybersecurity project is scheduled for long-term execution. As per the agreement, the project is expected to be completed by 23 June 2031.
This extended timeline reflects the scale of deployment across enterprise network systems and critical infrastructure upgrades within APSPDCL.
No Related Party Transaction Involved
RailTel has clarified in its regulatory filing that the contract is a domestic order and does not involve any related party transactions. Additionally, there is no promoter or group company interest in the awarded project.
