New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Smt. Renu Purushottam for the post of Director (Commercial) at MSTC Limited.
The recommendation was made during PESB Meeting No. 75/2026, held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Renu Purushottam is currently serving as Additional General Manager and Regional Manager (Western Region), Mumbai, at MSTC Limited.
Renu Purushottam Recommended for Director (Commercial) Post
Renu Purushottam was selected by the PESB from a panel of 12 candidates who appeared for the interview for the board-level position. Following the evaluation of the candidates, the Board recommended her for the Schedule B post of Director (Commercial) at MSTC Limited.
Her current role at MSTC includes serving as Additional General Manager and Regional Manager of the company’s Western Region in Mumbai.

PESB Interviewed Candidates from Five CPSEs
As part of the selection process, PESB interviewed eligible officers from several Central Public Sector Enterprises.
The candidates appeared from:
- MSTC Limited
- MMTC Limited
- Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)
- Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL)
- Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC)
After assessing the candidates, PESB recommended Renu Purushottam for the Director (Commercial) position.
Final Appointment Approval Awaited
The PESB recommendation is not the final appointment. It will now be forwarded to the competent authority for final approval and appointment. If appointed, Renu Purushottam will take charge of the commercial functions of MSTC Limited, a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Steel.
The recommendation is part of the ongoing process of filling board-level positions in Central Public Sector Enterprises through the PESB selection mechanism.
