New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from East Coast Railway for a railway signalling project worth ₹161.02 crore.
The project involves the provision of Multi-Section Digital Axle Counter (MSDAC) systems to improve reliability in the Automatic Block Signalling (ABS) section from Machapur (MZY) to Khurda Road Junction (KUR) and at several stations under the KUR division of East Coast Railway.
The order is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.
RVNL Order Covers Multiple Railway Stations
The project will cover several stations in the KUR division of East Coast Railway, strengthening signalling infrastructure across the railway network.

MSDAC System to Improve Signalling Reliability
The project is aimed at increasing the reliability of the Automatic Block Signalling (ABS) section.
The scope covers MSDAC installation and related alterations at:
- Rajathgarh (RJGR)
- Joranda Road (JRZ)
- Sadashibpur (SSPR)
- Dhenkanal (DNKL)
- Hindol Road (HND)
- Talcher Road (TLHD)
The work also includes modifications to electronic interlocking systems manufactured by different technology providers at various stations.
These include systems from Hitachi Rail STS India, Medha Servo Drives, Siemens Rail Automation, and Kyosan.
Order Adds to RVNL’s Railway Project Pipeline
The latest LOA adds another signalling and infrastructure project to RVNL’s ongoing order pipeline.
The company continues to undertake projects for Indian Railways across areas such as railway infrastructure, signalling, electrification and other network-related works.
The project will contribute to the modernisation of signalling infrastructure and support more reliable railway operations along the covered sections.
RVNL Shares Rise After Order Win
RVNL shares gained as much as 3% on Thursday, August 20, following the announcement of the order.
However, the stock remained down by more than 36% during calendar year 2026, despite the latest gain.
According to the provided market data, RVNL was trading at a price-to-earnings (P/E) multiple of 52.02 times, with a market capitalisation of approximately ₹47,855.38 crore.
