Hyderabad: The third cohort of DAKSH – SCOPE and CBC’s flagship leadership development programme for senior public sector leaders has begun its educational immersion at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
The six-day intensive programme brings together 72 senior executives from 21 Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) from across the country, with a focus on developing future-ready leadership capabilities for India’s public sector.
The educational immersion was inaugurated by Atul Sobti, Director General, SCOPE.

He encouraged the participants to make the most of the diverse perspectives within the cohort and remain open to challenging established approaches.
Sobti urged the executives to embrace discomfort and remain willing to unlearn and relearn, particularly as public sector organisations navigate rapid technological, economic and organisational changes.

DAKSH 3 Focuses on Future-Ready Public Sector Leadership
The third cohort builds on the success of the first two editions of the DAKSH programme.
The educational immersion has been designed to provide participants with an integrated learning experience that combines classroom-based academic instruction with real-world industry and leadership exposure.
The programme focuses on some of the key challenges facing modern organisations, including purpose-driven leadership, digital and AI-enabled transformation, and strategic renewal.
Through interactions with leading enterprises and exposure to contemporary management practices, participants are expected to refine their leadership approaches and develop strategies suited to a rapidly changing business and governance environment.
72 Executives From 21 PSEs Participate
The third cohort comprises 72 senior executives representing 21 Public Sector Enterprises from different parts of the country.
The programme seeks to provide the participants with an opportunity to learn from one another while gaining exposure to diverse organisational experiences and leadership perspectives.
The peer-learning component is particularly significant as participants come from different PSEs and bring varied experiences of managing large organisations and complex operational environments.
What Is the DAKSH Programme?
DAKSH — Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, Succession & Harmony — is a 12-month immersive learning and leadership development programme designed specifically for senior public sector executives.
The programme aims to equip participants with the strategic, behavioural and transformational capabilities needed to navigate the increasingly complex challenges confronting the public sector.
Rather than focusing only on conventional classroom learning, DAKSH combines academic education with practical exposure, leadership experiences and industry interactions.
The programme is designed to help senior executives strengthen their ability to lead organisational transformation, respond to emerging challenges and prepare their organisations for the future.
Focus on Digital and AI-Enabled Transformation
A major component of the DAKSH 3 curriculum is digital and AI-enabled transformation.
With technology rapidly changing how organisations operate and deliver services, public sector leaders increasingly need to understand emerging technologies and their implications for organisational strategy.
The programme therefore seeks to help executives assess technological disruption from a leadership and strategic perspective while identifying opportunities for transformation within their organisations.
Building the Next Generation of Public Sector Leaders
The launch of the third cohort marks another step in the effort by SCOPE and CBC to strengthen leadership capabilities within India’s public sector.
By combining academic learning, industry exposure, global perspectives and peer interaction, DAKSH aims to create a leadership ecosystem capable of responding to the changing demands of the public sector.
The six-day immersion at ISB Hyderabad forms an important component of the larger 12-month DAKSH journey, which is focused on building strategic, behavioural and transformational competencies among senior PSE leaders.
