SCOPE and International Coaching Federation Sign Long-Term MoU to Strengthen Leadership Development in India

New Delhi: The Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF) have signed a long-term Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote coaching-led leadership development and strengthen human capital across India’s corporate sector.

The strategic partnership aims to institutionalize structured coaching practices and align leadership development initiatives with globally recognized standards.

MoU Signed by Senior Leaders

The agreement was formally signed by Atul Sobti, Director General of SCOPE, and Steve Weiss, Vice President of ICF, during a ceremony focused on advancing leadership transformation through professional coaching frameworks.

The collaboration marks a significant step toward integrating coaching as a core leadership strategy within public enterprises and the broader corporate ecosystem.

Focus on Evidence-Based Leadership Development

According to the official press release, the partnership will begin with an evidence-based study to assess the current state of coaching practices in India. The findings will help both organizations design structured leadership frameworks, tools, and internal coaching capabilities tailored to the Indian corporate environment.

Strengthening Human Capital Across Sectors

Through this MoU, SCOPE aims to align leadership development practices in Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) and the wider corporate sector with ICF’s globally recognized coaching standards.

The initiative is expected to:

  • Improve employee engagement
  • Support long-term talent development
  • Drive organizational transformation

By promoting coaching-driven leadership models, the collaboration intends to build stronger, more agile, and future-ready organizations.
