Mobile Vehicle to Reach Schools, Colleges and Villages

The specially equipped vehicle will travel to schools, colleges and villages located in SECL’s operational areas.

Instead of relying solely on static awareness campaigns, the initiative will take health and preventive awareness programmes directly to communities.

The project will focus on:

  • Awareness against substance abuse
  • Preventive healthcare
  • De-addiction support and counselling referrals
  • Healthy lifestyle practices
  • Community-level health awareness

The initiative will particularly focus on young people, who are among the key target groups for substance-abuse prevention programmes.

Youth and Rural Communities Among Key Beneficiaries

The programme is designed to reach communities that may have limited access to regular awareness and preventive health programmes.

The key target groups include:

  • School and college students
  • Youth
  • Rural communities
  • Vulnerable sections of society

Through on-ground awareness sessions, the mobile unit will provide health talks, lifestyle guidance and information about available counselling and de-addiction support.

SECL and RERF Join Hands for Community Outreach

The MoU was signed in the presence of Biranchi Das, Director (Human Resources), SECL; Ajay Behera, General Manager (CSR), SECL; and Brahma Kumari Rukmani Didi, along with other representatives of RERF.

The partnership combines SECL’s CSR resources with RERF’s experience in value-based education and community outreach.

The collaborative approach is aimed at making preventive health and substance-abuse awareness messages more accessible and sustained at the community level.

Initiative Supports Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

The mobile health awareness project will contribute to the objectives of the national Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, which focuses on creating awareness about substance abuse and encouraging healthier lifestyles.

By taking awareness programmes directly to schools, villages and other communities, the initiative seeks to build greater awareness and encourage people to seek appropriate support when required.

SECL stated that the project strengthens its contribution to the national campaign while reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and inclusive development.
