New Delhi: T Vannia Perumal has been recommended for appointment as the next Director (Production) of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL), a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Department of Fertilizers. The recommendation was made by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) during its selection meeting held on June 11, 2026.
Subject to the necessary clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), Perumal is expected to take charge of the key board-level position.
Selection Process and Candidates Interviewed
The PESB conducted interviews for the post, which is currently vacant. A total of two candidates were shortlisted and assessed for the role.
The candidates included:
- T Vannia Perumal, Deputy General Manager (Training), Madras Fertilizers Limited (MFL)
- R. Venkatesh, General Manager (Coke Oven Revival Group), Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL)
After evaluating their profiles and performance in the interview, PESB recommended T Vannia Perumal for the post of Director (Production), BVFCL.

T Vannia Perumal is currently serving as Deputy General Manager (Training) at Madras Fertilizers Limited. He brings extensive experience in fertilizer operations, training, and production-related functions within the public sector fertilizer industry.
His experience is expected to contribute significantly to BVFCL’s operational efficiency and production management once he assumes charge.
Appointment Status and Next Steps
The recommendation made by PESB during its meeting (No. 45/2026) will now be forwarded for further examination and approval by the competent authority. The final appointment will be confirmed only after receiving ACC clearance, as per the standard procedure for CPSE board-level appointments.
