New Delhi: Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) has paid a dividend of ₹43.86 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2025-26. The dividend cheque was presented by TCIL Chairman and Managing Director Syed Tausif Abbas to Union Minister for Communications and DoNER Jyotiraditya M. Scindia on October 1, 2026.
Department of Telecommunications Secretary Amit Agrawal was also present during the cheque presentation.
The government-owned telecommunications consultancy and project execution company reported operating revenue of ₹3,335 crore and profit after tax (PAT) of ₹146 crore in FY 2025-26.
TCIL Revenue Grows 115% in Five Years
TCIL has recorded significant revenue growth over the past five years. According to the Ministry of Communications, the company’s revenue increased by 115%, from ₹1,596 crore in FY 2021-22 to ₹3,442 crore in FY 2025-26.
However, the FY 2025-26 figures released separately cite operating revenue of ₹3,335 crore.

TCIL Pays ₹4,146 Crore Cumulative Dividend to Government
TCIL is a profit-making Miniratna public sector undertaking and is wholly owned by the Government of India.
The company has paid cumulative dividends of ₹4,146 crore to the Government of India. This includes a substantial special dividend of ₹3,728 crore paid during FY 2024-25.
The latest ₹43.86-crore dividend adds to TCIL’s cumulative dividend contribution to the government.
TCIL Operations Span More Than 70 Countries
Established in August 1978, TCIL operates under the administrative control of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
The Government of India holds 100% equity in the company.
TCIL undertakes telecommunications and information technology projects in India as well as international markets. The company has completed projects in more than 70 countries.
Its current overseas operations include:
- Saudi Arabia
- Kuwait
- Oman
- Mauritius
- Bhutan
- Nepal
TCIL is also implementing the Pan Africa e-Vidya Bharti and Arogya Bharti Network project, which operates across more than 15 African countries.
Major Government Projects Under Execution
TCIL is currently involved in several major government projects spanning telecommunications, defence and digital infrastructure.
Key projects under execution include:
- Defence Network for Spectrum (NFS) project
- Navy Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) projects
- USOF-funded APSFL and Telangana Fibre projects
- BBNL VSAT project
- BharatNet Phase III in the Northeast
- BSNL Super Edge Router project
- State Wide Area Network in Bihar
The company is also undertaking data centre projects for the Indian Coast Guard and the state of Chhattisgarh.
TCIL’s Role in India’s Digital and Telecom Infrastructure
Through its domestic and international operations, TCIL is involved in the execution of telecommunications, IT and digital infrastructure projects. Its ongoing assignments cover areas including fibre connectivity, defence communications, network infrastructure, data centres and government digital connectivity.
