Lucknow: In a major push to boost industrial development, the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority) has begun work on an ambitious 650-acre integrated manufacturing and logistics hub in Sambhal, modeled on the development pattern of Noida.
The project aims to reduce industrial pressure on the Noida region while creating a new growth centre for manufacturing, logistics, and MSME-based industries.
Massive Land Acquisition Completed for Industrial Expansion
The development project has already achieved a key milestone with the completion of 650 acres of land acquisition across villages including Khirni Mohiuddinpur, Basla, Sarangpur, and Amavati Kutubpur in Sambhal’s Sadar tehsil.
Farmers have reportedly received substantial compensation, making the acquisition process economically beneficial for local landowners.

Sambhal Set to Become New Industrial Growth Centre
Known for its traditional handicrafts made from bone, horn, and metal, Sambhal is now being transformed into a modern industrial hub.
The upcoming Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster will focus on:

- Organising and strengthening MSME units
- Promoting export-oriented manufacturing
- Supporting agriculture-based industries
Local entrepreneurs and companies have been invited to set up units with improved infrastructure and market access.
Strong Connectivity with Expressways and Rail Network
A major advantage of the project is its strategic connectivity. The industrial zone will be directly linked to the Ganga Expressway, ensuring fast freight movement across the state.
Additional connectivity features include:
- Linkage with Sambhal–Anupshahr road
- Proposed improved access to Hatim Sarai railway station
- Proximity to key cities like Moradabad, Badaun, Aligarh, and Amroha
This multimodal connectivity is expected to make the hub highly attractive for investors.
