Uttar Pradesh Govt Launches Family Saturation Drive to Boost Rural Women’s Financial Empowerment 

The Yogi Adityanath government will connect every eligible rural woman with Self-Help Groups between August 5 and 20 to strengthen financial inclusion, self-reliance and livelihood opportunities.

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has achieved a major milestone in its Farmer Registry Campaign, completing 85.19% of the registration target set by the Central Government. The state has also secured the 10th position nationally in the implementation of the campaign.

The initiative aims to build a unified digital database of farmers to ensure transparent, efficient and timely delivery of government welfare schemes, including PM-KISAN, crop insurance, agricultural loans and subsidies.

Over 2.45 Crore Farmers Registered

According to the latest review report, the Government of India has set a target of registering 2,88,70,495 farmers in Uttar Pradesh.

So far, the state has successfully registered:

  • 2,45,94,831 farmers
  • 85.19% of the total target achieved
  • 42,75,664 farmers yet to be registered

The state government is intensifying the campaign to complete the remaining registrations as quickly as possible.

State Close to Breaking into Top Nine Nationally

With 85.19% of the target completed, Uttar Pradesh has reached 10th place in the national ranking and is close to moving into the top nine states.

Officials said the campaign is being further accelerated to improve the state’s ranking while ensuring every eligible farmer receives a digital identity.

Daily Registration Targets Set to Meet Deadlines

To achieve full registration within the desired timeline, the government has outlined daily registration goals.

According to the review report:

  • By August 29, 2026: Around 1,42,522 farmers must be registered every day.
  • By September 29, 2026: Around 71,261 registrations are required daily.
  • By October 29, 2026: Around 47,507 registrations per day will be needed.

Officials are working with district administrations to speed up the registration process.

Ghaziabad and Rampur Achieve 100% Registration

Among all districts, Ghaziabad and Rampur have emerged as top performers by completing 100% of their farmer registration targets set by the Government of India.

Meanwhile:

  • Jhansi
  • Hardoi

have recorded the best performance in the land share determination (Ansh Nirdharan) process.

The government said these districts have set an example for others in implementing the campaign efficiently.

Land Record Digitisation Also Gains Momentum

The state has also made significant progress in Ansh Nirdharan (land share determination).

According to the report:

  • 88.92% of the work has been completed.

The digitisation of land records is expected to:

  • Improve the accuracy of farmer identification.
  • Modernise land record management.
  • Ensure transparent implementation of agricultural schemes.
  • Reduce administrative delays.

Digital Farmer Database to Improve Scheme Delivery

The Yogi Adityanath government considers the Farmer Registry Campaign a key pillar of its digital agriculture reforms.

Once completed, the unified digital database will help ensure that eligible farmers receive benefits under various government schemes, including:

  • PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi.
  • Crop Insurance Scheme.
  • Agricultural loans.
  • Fertiliser and input subsidies.
  • Other farmer welfare programmes.

Officials said the initiative will improve transparency, reduce duplication and enable faster delivery of government services.

Government Aims for 100% Farmer Registration

The Uttar Pradesh government has reiterated its commitment to achieving 100% farmer registration at the earliest.

According to the government, completing the campaign will strengthen digital agriculture governance, improve transparency in welfare delivery and ensure that every eligible farmer is connected to a verified digital identity, making access to government services faster and more efficient.
