Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions totalling ₹39.87 crore for various development schemes and construction works across the state.
The approved projects cover water supply, water quality testing, sewage treatment, roads, solar power systems, helipad and parking facilities, tourism infrastructure and other civic works across several districts.
₹4.30 Crore Approved for Solar Installation at Rishikesh STP
For Dehradun district, ₹4.30 crore has been approved for the installation of a grid-connected solar power system at the 26 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP) at Lakkadghat in Rishikesh, Jagjitpur, and the 0.0500 MLD co-treatment facility at Lakkadghat.
Another ₹2.15 crore has been sanctioned for installing a grid-connected solar power system at the 5 MLD STP at Chorpani, Rishikesh, in Tehri district.
These projects will add solar power infrastructure to sewage treatment facilities in the region.

Water Supply and Quality Testing Infrastructure
The state government has also approved funds for strengthening water infrastructure.
- ₹4.98 crore has been approved for construction of a tubewell and elevated water reservoir in Ward No. 60, Madhuban Enclave.
- ₹2.21 crore has been sanctioned for construction of a state-level water quality testing laboratory for the Kumaon region at Haldwani under the Haldwani branch of the Nainital district.
The laboratory is intended to strengthen water quality testing infrastructure in the Kumaon region.
Road Construction and Improvement Projects
Several road construction, improvement and strengthening works have received financial approval across Uttarakhand.
Pauri District
₹3.17 crore has been sanctioned for construction works in the Pauri Assembly constituency, including improvement of the Nisni link motor road.
Champawat District
₹1.67 crore has been approved for improvement of the Budhakhet-Amkadiya motor road.
Tehri Garhwal District
₹3.25 crore has been sanctioned for reconstruction and strengthening of the Uppoo-Aulani motor road in the Thauldhar development block.
Pithoragarh District
Two road projects have received approval:
- ₹74.44 lakh for construction of a concrete road from Kirauli School to Jaitbuga in the Didihat Assembly constituency.
- ₹80 lakh for an internal concrete road in village Bhoutli of Kanali Chhina block, also in Didihat.
Haridwar District
₹3.41 crore has been approved for four road construction works involving bitumen surfacing and widening in the BHEL Ranipur Assembly constituency.
Nanda Raj Jat-Linked Infrastructure Gets Funding
Several infrastructure projects linked to the Nanda Raj Jat have also been included in the approvals, particularly in Chamoli district.
The sanctioned works include:
- ₹1.36 crore for construction of surface parking and toilets near the Wan Padav helipad in Dewal block.
- ₹40.22 lakh for temporary parking at Danala Tok in Mundoli.
- ₹30 lakh for another temporary parking facility at Surai Tok in Mundoli.
- ₹1.88 crore for construction of a helipad at Wan in Dewal development block.
The projects are aimed at supporting infrastructure requirements in areas associated with the event and tourism activities.
Tourism Infrastructure Development in Almora
In Almora district, ₹97.08 lakh has been sanctioned for the beautification of Siddheshwar Temple near Danya in the Jageshwar Assembly constituency.
The project is part of the approved tourism and civic infrastructure works in the state.
Disaster Response Funds Approved for Monsoon Road Works
The Uttarakhand government has also approved funds under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for road-related works during the monsoon period.
The approvals include:
- ₹1 crore for the Public Works Department.
- ₹50 lakh for the Rural Development Department.
The funds will be used for road-related works during the monsoon season.
