Uttarakhand CM Dhami Engages Students on Vision for ‘Uttarakhand of My Dreams’

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted with students in Rudrapur, highlighting youth empowerment and their role in shaping the state’s development.

Rudrapur: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted with students at the Chief Minister’s Young Students’ Manthan programme in Rudrapur on Thursday, where young participants shared their ideas and suggestions on the theme “Uttarakhand of My Dreams.”

The programme was organised at a private school and provided students an opportunity to discuss their vision for the state with the Chief Minister. Dhami responded to their questions and spoke about the role of young people in shaping Uttarakhand’s future.

Youth Empowerment Among Government Priorities

Dhami said empowering young people and making them self-reliant and aware was a priority for the government.

“Ensuring the state’s future generation is empowered, self-reliant, and aware is our priority.”

He said students’ ideas could contribute to the state’s development and added that the government was focusing not only on education but also on employment, skill development, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Focus on Developed India, Developed Uttarakhand

The Chief Minister said sectors including education, employment, innovation, skill development, tourism, agriculture, sports and technology were being strengthened as part of the vision of a “Developed India – Developed Uttarakhand.”

He described the youth as a major strength of the state and encouraged students to develop their skills and contribute to the country and Uttarakhand.

Over 2.67 Lakh Students Participate in Essay Campaign

Dhami also highlighted the response to the “Uttarakhand of My Dreams” essay competition.

According to the figures shared at the programme, 267,744 students from across Uttarakhand submitted essays and ideas as part of the campaign. The submissions reflected students’ views on the state’s development, prosperity and future.

Science and Technology Opportunities for Students

Speaking about opportunities in science, Dhami referred to the Science City in Dehradun, which he said is the country’s fifth-largest Science City.

He said the facility is intended to provide promising students from Uttarakhand opportunities in science and technology and encourage them to contribute at national and global levels.

Leadership Goes Beyond Politics

Dhami also spoke about the importance of leadership, saying that leadership is not restricted to politics. He cited people excelling in fields such as sports, medicine, science, media and industry as examples of leaders in their respective areas.

He urged young people to contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India and play a role in the development of the state and country.

Students and Teachers Attend Programme

Around 800 students and teachers from different schools attended the programme. Mayor Vikas Sharma, Minister of State-ranked Anil Kapoor Dabboo, Rampal Singh, Dinesh Mansera, Uttam Dutta, Farzana Begum, former MLA Rajesh Shukla, District President Kamal Jindal, District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria and Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganpati, among others, were present.
