Dehradun: More than 35,000 students have submitted essays under the Uttarakhand government’s ‘Mere Sapno Ka Uttarakhand’ (My Dream Uttarakhand) campaign, launched following Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s call for students to share their ideas for the state’s development.
The essays are being uploaded through the CM Vidyarthi Manthan portal. Students from both government and private schools are participating in the initiative.
Campaign Launched After Interaction With Class 11–12 Students
The Chief Minister had called for the essay campaign on August 10, during an online interaction with around three lakh students of Classes 11 and 12.
Students were invited to write about their vision for Uttarakhand across several areas.
The campaign covers themes including:
- Tourism
- Employment
- Social development
- Forests and environment
- Education
- Healthcare
- Technology
Selected Ideas to Be Reviewed
Under the campaign, 140 students with the best ideas will get an opportunity to discuss their suggestions with state government secretaries and share their experiences with Chief Minister Dhami.
The Chief Minister had also stated that he would personally review the best ideas and that suitable suggestions could be considered for incorporation into state policies.
Students Can Submit Essays Until August 24
Campaign coordinator Dr Rahul Agrawal said students from government and private schools are participating enthusiastically.
The essay submission window remains open until August 24, allowing students to upload their entries through the designated portal.
Rewards and Career Support for Selected Students
The campaign also provides for scholarships and awards for selected students. According to the source, the identified students will also receive support related to career and examination preparation.
The initiative is aimed at providing students with a platform to articulate their ideas and perspectives on the future development of Uttarakhand.
